Real Techniques Sponge VS Beauty Blender

I've been using the original beauty blender for over a year now! I have to say it's my favorite way to apply makeup, your makeup will go on flawless with no brush strokes. I know there are a lot of beauty blender dupes but none thus far compare to the original beauty blender. When I heard that real techniques had came out with a dupe I had to try it out for myself.
The real techniques sponge is advertised as a "miracle complexion sponge". It claims to be a 3 in 1 with its flat edge, sides and tip. You can get the perfect coverage by using them all.
The size of the beauty blender and real techniques is about the same

Above gives you a better picture of the flat edge. I love using this part of the sponge to get max coverage over large areas of my face such as my cheeks.

Above I have the beauty blender and real techniques damp, they both grow to the same size and the real techniques sponge almost feels softer than the beauty blender. I thought that because of this is wasn't going to give as nice of a makeup application but boy was I wrong! I find that because it's softer the real techniques sponge is actually easier to work with.

Above is a picture of my foundation done, on the right I used the real techniques sponge and on the left I used the beauty blender. As you can see there is no visible difference (sorry for the poor lighting, I'm still playing with my set up)

Above is a close up of my left side which again I used the beauty blender

Above is a close up of my right side which again I used the real techniques sponge

So it's your choice which you want. I couldn't tell a difference between the two and I think that the real techniques is a great dupe for the beauty blender. If you want to splurge on the beauty blender or grab the real techniques at your local drug store. Personally I think I'll be going for the real techniques and save some cash!
