January Favorites 2016 | Ms Pam Blam

First month of the year is OVER!! Which means I get to post another monthly favorites....I think by far these are my favorite blog posts to write. I had so much fun running around my house and collecting items that I have been loving for January 2016.

Fist off I have to give a shout out to Makeup Geek. I ordered these brushes are the end of December (along with some more eye shadows of course!). I've never tired any Makeup Geek tools before so I was interested in seeing what these brushes were like. I'M IN LOVE! They are so soft and densely packed. They blend makeup easily and effortlessly. Right now in my day to day rotation I'm using (start from top to bottom)
-Face buffer brush - I use this for my blush (which is also makeup geek)
-Angled stippling brush - I use this for my contour
-Cheek highlighter brush - I use this to set my concealer with powder
-Soft dome brush - I use this to put eye shadow in my crease and blend it out

I highly recommending giving Makeup Geek brushes a try, they have many more available on their website and I'll definitely be ordering more for myself!

Next up is a product I've had since October and I just don't know how I lived without it. This is the Clarisonic Plus, I use this once a day (typically at the end of the day) to cleanse my face. It cleans so well and my skin texture has been amazing since I've started using this.

Another skincare product, which was mentioned in my current skincare routine. This is the Luna night oil, I've been using it about twice a week and it just adds a boost to my night time routine.

This is my only hair favorite for the month, the Living Proof dry shampoo and Pureology dry conditioner. This is the perfect pair for second or even third day hair. Since I've been lightening my hair I've been trying to wash it less. My hair is sooo damaged and I just took 3 inches off! I've been trying to only wash my hair 2-3 times a week. These two products defiantly make that possible by extending my styles.

I've just recently been getting into eye masks and so far this is my favorite. This is the Shiseido WrinkleResist 24, I use this about once a week with my skincare. Its really smoothed and brightened up my under eyes. I was getting fine lines and little bumps under my eyes, my solution was just to cover them up with concealer (which really isn't a solution). I wanted something that would make the fine lines and bumps to go away permanently so I didn't have to use so much concealer everyday. After about 4 uses I started to see this product work!! So if you decide to try this give is some time...you wont see any miracles after the first use.

This is a product that has been mentioned a few times on my blog, the Beauty Blender!! I have two on the go right now, they are amazing. I use them for my foundation and concealer. This just gives you the prefect airbrushed finish. I was using it to set my loose powder but I've switched to a pressed powder so now I use a brush.

Last off is my fitness favorite for the month...and of course it's 21 Day Fix! I love this program. It is easy to follow the workout schedule, the workouts are only 30 min so they are prefect to fit into your day. Right now I'm training for a marathon, you can check out my week 1 update, as mentioned in my blog post I'm using a combination of 21 Day fix, interval running and long slow distance running to train. This program has been perfect for me, not only have I lost weight with this program but I it has helped with my leg strength!

What were your monthly favorites? Please share in comments below.

Marathon Training & 21 Day Fix Progress Update | Week 1

If you've been following me on any of my social media sites like Instagram, Facebook, or Snap Chat (mspamblam) you would have heard me talk about my marathon training which started on January 25th!! If you're not follow me go check it out if you want to keep up with my training daily and make sure you subscribe to my blog for weekly updates.

So here's how week 1 went....fail, Fail, FAIL! hahaha okay let me explain what happen.

The training program I'm follow as created by ME! I like to make my own training plan that works with my schedule and my fitness level. This time around I've taken a free online marathon training program and combined it with one of my old training program and added some Beachbody training programs. Sounds complicated but it really isn't.

Basically twice a week I'm running intervals which will help me with my speed and temp. Three times a week I'm doing a Beachbody workout to help me with arm, core and leg strength. Once a week I'm doing a long slow run which will help with my endurance. Then finally I get one rest day...hooray!! I will be following this training program for the next 18 weeks.

When I started my marathon journey on January 25th I was EXTREMELY determined! I was so excited to be running again. When I took a look back I haven't done any running training since 2013 and my last marathon was in 2012. I was really looking forward to diving in!!

BUT I forgot about how much of a commitment training is...I got so busy on January 25th that by the time I was ready to train it was 10pm and I was exhausted. I ended up doing NOTHING and going to bed very disappointed.

The next day I got up and all I could think about was my training plan. I check my program and I was supposed to run. My husband even agreed to do my training with me after work. It was all I could think about for the entire day! When I got home we got ready to leave the house and both of us were looking forward to head out and do some training. We opened the front door....and it was POURING rain (freezing rain). We looked at each other and agreed that we would still go. Well - we only made it half way down the block before changing our minds and heading home. It was EXTREMELY dangerous conditions...we weren't even running, it was more like a old man shuffle. There was no way for us to run intervals..there was no way for us to run period! The sidewalks were just too slippery.

So lets recap...day 1 -fail, day 2 -fail...finally on day 3 I got back on track!

Day 3 - I was supposed to do a Beachbody workout (which I did) but because I hasn't had much success over the past 2 days I ended up doing 2 Beachbody workouts!! (man was I tiered the next day) I ended up doing a total cardio & upper body workout for the 21 Day Fix program. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen a short video of me working out.

Day 4 - FINALLY the ice was melted enough that I was able to go out for a run! I ended up doing 6 intervals...I was so energetic and excited to be out running I was doing most of the intervals sub 5min/km!! Although I was so tiered the next day I'm not even sure where I found the energy to get out of bed and go to work (I could barley walk down my stairs).

Now this blog post is going live January 29th which means I haven't completed a full week...but I wanted to get this up for my "Fitness Friday" post.

I still have to complete a Beachbody workout today and tomorrow I have a long slow run (of 10km). I'll let you know how things go next week in my update!!

If you want more daily updates please check out my InstagramFacebook, or Snap Chat (mspamblam) accounts.

Please subscribe to my blog so you can keep up with my 18 week progress. Next week I will have my week 2 update!

If you have any questions about my training/progress please leave them in the comments below and I will answer them in my week 2 update.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Favorite Nude Lipstick | Mac Lipstick Collections

Nude lipsticks have always been my go-to lip color of choice. I've gone through my lipstick collection and some how all my must have lipsticks are Mac...when did that happen? I used to have a variety of lipsticks in my purse ranging from drugstore to high-end. But over the years I've migrated to Mac matte lipsticks. I find (if you use a lip liner) these colors last the longest, they don't bleed outside my lip line and they just overall look the best on me.

Some of these colors look fairly similar but they are each unique with their color. Each of these colors have a matte finish...now when I think of matte I think of drying and emphasis of my fine lines in my lips. But that's not the case at all! Even though these are matte I still find them buttery smooth. I always use a lip liner with each one PLUS I make sure that my lips are well prepped and moist before I put anything on them.

(Starting from left to right)

Mac Whirl - This is the darkest out of all five. It is described as a dusty rose, it has more of a brown undertone and I like to wear this in the evenings

Mac Mehr - This is the second most worn lipstick in my collection. It is a dirty blue pink, which I love! Lipsticks that have blue undertones make my teeth look whiter. If I want a nude pink look during the day I will pick this one

Mac Honey Love - This is my MOST worn lipstick out of all of them. It is a light beige tone with rose. This is as nude as it gets. I will wear this during the day as a casual look, or at night when I have a bolder eye. It's prefect anytime of the day

Mac Please Me - This is the brightest out of all five shades. It's a muted rosy tinted pink, this is my most worn lipstick in the summer. I feel that it's a little too bright for the winter months but this is a summer time perfect shade. It's perfect when you have a nude eye look or if your eyes are hidden behind sunglasses and you want a pop of color on your lips

Mac Kinda Sexy - Finally we have a neutral pinky rose. This is probably my third most worn lip color. The only issue I have with this one is it's too nude. I like to finish this color with a pop of pink lip gloss over top, otherwise I look dead

I hope this post was helpful if you've on the hunt for a  new lip color. Let me know your favorite nude lipstick shade, I am always on the lookout for more to add to my collection!!

Shakeology Is A Fitness MUST HAVE | Weight Loss & Health Benefit

I get asked A LOT as a Beachbody coach...what is Shakeology? Dose this stuff actual work? What does it do? Why drink the stuff?

If you follow me on any of my social media account, I post quit a few pictures of me drinking Shakeology. It's something that I drink EVERYDAY and I've been drinking it everyday for over a year now.

Shakeology is described as a daily dose of your dense nutrition. It's filled with superfoods shake that assists your body in the elimination of toxins more efficiently while providing a better absorption of essential nutrients. It's nearly impossible to find another supplement or vitamin out there that comes close in the ingredients or benefits Shakeology provides. There was a study done to see what it can do for people, but obviously results will vary depending on each individual that tries this product.

A 90 day study was conducted , each participate replaced one meal a day with Shakeology. In addition they ate a balanced diet and did moderate exercise 3 times a week. The results were pretty amazing! On average the individuals total cholesterol was reduced by 30% and LDL cholesterol was reduced by 38%.

Some of the many benefits Shakeology provides:
1. Lose weight
2. Feel energized
3. Improve digestion and regularity
4. Lower cholesterol

Here are the key nutrient groups that the ingredients in Shakeology deliver & the benefits they provide:

Protein & Essential Amino Acids
-Help repair and build lean muscle and heal wounds
-Reduce hunger and food cravings
-Help regulate blood sugar levels
-Support brain function, reduce anxiety and promote alertness

Prebiotics & Digestive Enzymes
-Assist friendly bacteria and aid in digestion
-Increase absorption of minerals and nutrients
-Help regulate blood sugar levels
-Support brain function, reduce anxiety
-Helps keep you regular

Antioxidants & Phytonutrients
-Get rid of harmful free radicals
-Help decrease inflammation
-Help increase immune system function
-May increase longevity
-Potentially decrease the risk of degenerative diseases

23 Vitamins & Minerals
-Provide a wide range of essential nutrients
-Get all the necessary vitamins you need each day
-Make up your dietary deficiencies

This shake's whole food ingredients deliver the essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals your body needs to curb cravings. Which allows your body to shed stored fat while the more than 20 different antioxidants and phytonutrients help reduce free radical damage that can lead to: heart disease, heart attacks, high blood pressure, stroke and cancer (many of these run in my family & is a health concern I have to be very careful with).

With that being said I think I feel very confident in my choice of drinking Shakeology everyday. I know that I'm getting so many amazing benefits in just one shake! I've been consistent drinking this shake for one year.

In one year I've noticed:
-Increase in my energy
-Decreased the amount I've become sick
-Helped me stay regular
-Snacking has decreased
-I've decreased the amount of sweet treats I eat
-No longer have cravings in between meals
-Weight loss

But of course I didn't just start drinking this product on a whim. I did my research! I asked tons of questions, read the nutrition & ingredients off Shakeologys site, read consumer reviews and talked to my Beachbody coach about the product. The price tag does hurt but I feel that the amount of benefits you get, Shakeology is WORTH IT!

Have you tried Shakeology? I would love to know your thoughts of this shake in the comments.

Still have questions? Feel free to leave them in the comments below and I would be happy to address any additional questions.

Product Empties January 2016 | Products I've Used Up | Ms Pam Blam

I'm getting rid of my beauty trash! Over the past few months I have been moving in my new house and getting settled in. I've put myself on a banned from buying any more beauty products until I use up what I have...I felt that while I was packing I had too much stuff!

Here is what I will be tossing away:
It's a 10 Miracle Leave in Plus Keratin - this is a must have for me. I've found that my hair doesn't like a lot of product in it...the less the better. This is one of the products I use when I get out of the shower...and on my lazy days I will just spray this in and go. It leaves my hair very soft and tangle free! This is on the pricey side especially for being a drugstore purchase (I get mine at Wal Mart) but it's really worth the money.

Caudalie Moisturizing Toner - best toner I've tried so far! I've already repurchased this...and my new one came with a pump which is way better than this packaging. I find the pump lets me control how much product I'm using so hopefully it will last longer. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized and hydrated (which is great for my dry skin)

Caudalie Beauty Elixir - another Caudalie product and another love of mine. I use this product mainly in the summer time to refresh my makeup when it's hot outside. I have repurchased it but it's not currently in my everyday makeup...but I will be pulling it out again in the summertime

Fresh Sugar Nourishing Lip Balm Advanced Therapy - this is a very expensive lip balm! It did work really well but because of the high price tag I'm experimenting with cheaper options and I don't think I will be repurchasing

Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser - technically this isn't an empty or product I've used up but I'm throwing it away anyway. Please don't buy this it's AWFUL! First off the smell is very perfumery and smells like old lady. It was really thick and hard to rub onto my face to remove my makeup. There are so many better cleansers out there I would take a pass on this one.

Dermablend Long Wear Makeup Remover - this stuff was great but hard to get my hands on. This really did remove all of my makeup - even waterproof. The only downside is I couldn't find this anywhere so I bought it on Amazon for A LOT. I haven't repurchased because I don't want to spend that kind of money again but if you can find it locally then I would pick it up.

Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover - this is okay if you've on a budget. It's better than any drugstore eye makeup remover I've tried but I found I did have to rub a lot to get everything off. I don't particularly like to rub my eyes too much as they are very sensitive. I won't be repurchasing accuse I found a different eye makeup remover that I'm loving much better.

Ardel Accent 301 - not much to say about these lashes...THEY ARE THE BEST! I've wore them to much, there were my go to lashes for my wedding day. They are just half lashes so very easy to apply and look pretty natural if applied correctly.

LashGrip Glue - this is great glue. It sticks and holds in place all day - I prefer this over the Duo glue.

Ardel Natural Demi Wispies - Sorry about the picture...I didn't realize the flash covered up the lash name - but these are the demi wispies. I find the wispies a little too long so I prefer the demi ones. These are great natural looking lashes. They look like my lashes only longer and fuller.

L'oreal Colour Riche Nails - I'm not big on fake nails but after our move I just can't get my nails to grow out - too much handling boxes and moving furniture around. These nails don't stick at all so I would suggest getting some nail glue to stick them on. They only lasted for about 3 days, after that I felt they were just in the way and I ripped them off. I probably will only keep these for special occasions.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray - I don't know why I didn't include this into my 2015 favorites because it SHOULD HAVE BEEN! I use this everyday. It's the best makeup setting spray I have ever used.

Rapid Lash Eyelash Enhancing Serum - I was really disappointed with this serum. I've used a lot of other lash serums in the past and this one didn't seem to do anything. I wont be repurchasing.

Did you make it to the end!?!?! Way to go! That seemed like a long list. I love finishing up products - it gives me an odd sense of accomplishment when you complete go through a product.

If you've tried any of these products I would love to know in the comments below what your thoughts were...please share!

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Beachbody Coaching Has Changed My Life | Celebrating my 1 Year Anniversary

It's official! I celebrated my one year anniversary as a Beachbody coach on January 13, 2016.

1 year ago I made a connection with my sponsor coach on Facebook and he presented me with this amazing opportunity. I never thought in just one year my life would change as much as it has. Throughout the past year I've heard all these amazing stories about how Beachbody coaching has changed some many lives and always thought...could that be me someday?

When I first started Beachbody coaching I was
-In a bad place emotionally
-I was always playing the role of the victim and constantly thinking...when am I going to catch a break?
-Struggling with healthy eating habits
-Constantly saying "I'm too busy"...for everything (even family)
-Planning a wedding...but was drowning in debt
-Unhappy in life
-Frustrated with finances
-Depressed
-Letting my anxiety get the best of me
-Drinking...a lot of drinking

In just one short year I can't believe how far I've come! This business is all about helping others become healthy, fit and happy. I believe that the only way to become a successful coach is to lead by example.

I had to ditch my bad attitude and stop blaming everyone and everything for my problems in life. I had to become accountable to my health and fitness. I had to take life into my own hands!

After 1 year I'm now
-Almost debt free
-Stronger than I've ever been
-Excited for life
-Living a happily married life with my family
-Finding time to appreciate the little things in life
-Building a better future for myself and my family
-Taking chances
-Finding my confidence
-Leading by example
-Complete 3 fitness certification courses
-Taking charge of my life
-Making new connections and friendships
-Happier than I've ever been

I am just so thankful for this opportunity. This year is going to be BETTER than 2015. I am ready to up my coaching game and take charge of my business. If you want to follow my Beachbody coaching more closely please go "like" my Facebook page.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope that your 2016 is full of health, happiness, and fitness.

Get Fit 2016 | New Years Resolution Planning

TONS of people make some kinda New Years Resolution goal that has something to do with fitness, weight loss, nutrition or health. Everyone has the determination on January 1st that this is finally the year!!! Then they fall off the bandwagon on January 2nd.

Has this ever happened to you?

Don't worry you're not the only one out there that this has happened to.

So how do you make a New Years Resolution goal and achieve it!?!?!?!

Follow these steps and lets plan to have an amazing 2016 together!

1) Set a goal that is realistic and achievable
First off find a goal that you can achieve, set yourself up for success! For example if you've never run in your life then don't set a goal of trying to run a marathon in 2016...start with a 5km run. Make your goals realistic enough that you can achieve them

2) Set a goal that you can track
Having goals are great! But why set goals if you can't say "yes I've completed that". Find a goal that you can track. For example don't just say 2016 is the year I'm going to loose weight....instead say 2016 is the year I'm going to loose 20 pounds. Now you have a goal that you can track and strive to reach

3) Write your goals down
Make it permanent! That's right get out a pen and paper and write down those goals. This is a step that a lot of people don't do. When you write down your goals you are more likely to work towards achieving them. I also like to put that piece of paper in a place I will see it everyday. That might be your bathroom mirror, fridge, ANYWHERE! Remind yourself of the goals you set everyday

4) Make a plan
It's not enough to say I'm going to loose 5 pounds. Make a plan! How are you going to loose 5 pounds? I like to write my plans out in my agenda book because I look in there everyday...but everyone is different. Maybe you need a wall calendar set out with your daily eating plan. Weight loose doesn't just happen - YOU make it happen.

5) Tell everyone!
Telling a friend or family member will help you stay accountable to your goals. Tell someone what your goals are. I also like to post mine of social media - that way the whole world knows.

6) Follow through
Health, nutrition & fitness goals are something that you have to work at DAILY. For most people it doesn't come naturally so just know that you aren't alone. This can be a daily struggle but just chip away at your goal everyday and you will see the results.

7) Reward yourself
I LOVE this part. Okay so I'll give you an example that I've done - I started the 21 day fix program last year. It's a fitness & nutrition program created by Beachbody that you follow for 21 days. My goal was to follow this program and FINISH IT! I told myself that if I completed this program in 21 days I could buy a new workout tank top. This gave me something to look forward to at the end of all my hard work. Make sure you acknowledge the hard work and effort you are putting in and treat yourself! Maybe it will be something small like a new workout tank top, shoes, spa day, new purse...maybe you want to go bigger and reward yourself with a vacation! Just make sure to reward your hard work.

I hope that you ALL have an amazing 2016! Set those goals and lets all work our butts off this year getting stronger and fitter than we were in 2015.

Please share with me your 2016 New Years Resolutions in the comments below...I would LOVE to know what they are.

If you have any questions about how to set a goal or how to achieve your fitness goal please feel free to comment below and I would love to help you out.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Fitness Friday!

Best Beauty Products of 2015

2015 is over....WHAT!?!?! That year went way too fast for me. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years. So many amazing things happened in 2015, by far I think that was my best year (so far). A few highlights from the year:

-I got married in July (on my 10 year anniversary)
-My blog hit 10,000 views
-I became a Beachbody coach
-I got a job promotion at work
-I reconnected with old friends
-I got possession of my new house
-I graduated university with my degree
-I got 3 fitness certifications

All and all it was an amazing year. During the year I also made some great discoveries in the beauty department. I wanted to share some of those best of 2015 products I've discovered.

First off is the T3 trio. This is my favorite hair tool of 2015. I love the versatility of this product plus I just found out that I can buy additional wands for this base...it's pretty much an all in one and you don't need anything else.
Favorite foundation and concealer is the Dior star. I've been searching and searching for the perfect foundation, I've tried others in 2015 but I just kept coming back to the Dior foundation. I've been using it for 11 consecutive months and I've gone through 3 bottles now. This is great for dry skin because it gives you a brightening glow to your skin and makes you look a little dewy -  not grease, it just gives you the perfect glow.
Under that foundation I've been using the Arbonne makeup primer. The only downside of this primer is you can only order it online. Other than that this primer just glides on and helps your foundation last longer.
These lashes I used for my engagement and wedding photos (and for New Years Eve which is why the package is empty). They are just outer accent lashes that look very natural but just make your lashes look fuller. I love the way these look on my eyes plus I find that the accent lashes are much easier to apply rather than a full lash.
This is a MUST mascara for special occasions. I've gone through 2 tubes of this mascara. It's the Chanel Le Volume De Chanel Waterproof. I wear this even when I wear false lashes...I used it on my wedding day and I can say it SAYS PUT! You can cry your heart out and your lashes will still look good.
For my brows I've been loving the Anastasia brow wiz. This looks like natural brow hairs, it fills my brows in great and lasts all day (you do have to set your brows with gel).
My final love for 2015 has been Makeup Geek eye shadows. I have put all my other eye palettes away and I've just been using these shadows. They are so pigmented and creamy, I love how affordable they are and that you can customize your own palette. I defiantly need to dedicate a post to just the Makeup Geek products I own. I highly recommend trying these eye shadows out, there are amazing eye shadow swatches on their website!

What were your favorite products of 2015? Share with me in the comments below
