May 2016 Monthly Favorites

Loreal True Match Lumi Cushion - Now that summer is here I've been wearing less products and a lighter more dewy foundation. Currently I've been loving this Loreal Lumi Cushion. It's a very lightweight but buildable formula that has a very dewy finish. I will set this foundation with powder, otherwise it wont last long on my face.

YSL All in One BB Creme - Another great summer foundation. I have such a hard time finding a BB creme that will work with my pale skin. This BB creme has their lightest color as "clear", so far this is the best match for my pale skin and it can be layered with the Loreal cushion foundation if I want a heavier coverage.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir - This is a product that I go back and forther on. On the one hand it's really expensive and its just a spritz of moisture...on the other hand when I don't use it I notice a huge difference. Dry skins girls you MUST try this trick. I find that even though I have dry skin I still like to set my foundation with powder so it lasts longer. But if I set it with powder my dry skin will cling to the powder and make me look like I have a cake face....the solution? I will spray my face with this elixir and then while my face is still wet I powder. The powder just seems to melt into my skin giving me an airbrushed look and my foundation will last all day!

Diorshow Iconic Overcurl - I have rediscovered my love for this mascara. This is a little baby sample I got from Sephora and it has made me fall in love with this mascara all over again. It's a great mascara and I find it encourages my lashes to curl...but I will say that it's a pain when I try to remove it.

Z Palette & Makeup Geek Eyeshadows - I've defiantly been wearing less eye makeup with this hot weather we've been having. Lets me honest I would rather spend more time outside and less time inside doing my makeup. My current obsession is to grab one of these smaller z palettes and throwing together a simple eye look. Right now my current obsession is: white lies, peach smoothie, hipster and shimma shimma with Bliss blush. It's the perfect summer look that is very quick to apply.

Infusium 23 Repair & Renew Heat Tamer - With now having blonde hair I'm finding that I have to change up my hair products. My hair has become VERY dry and is VERY damaged. I have been very careful about using less heat and more heat protectors. There is a heat protector in my leave in conditioner I use after the shower but I've also been soaking my hair in this product before I blow dry, straighten or curl my hair. I'm finding that it is really helping me controls any additional breakage and damage that heat causes.

BaByliss Pro Rapido - I have to say this....BEST BLOW DRYER I HAVE EVER USED. I will never again need to buy another blow dryer for as long as this one shall live. This is blow dryer is the first higher performance  professional dryer I have ever owned. It was made in Italy and has an ultra efficient high speed turbo powdered engine designed by Ferrari. Yes I can say that I actually own a Ferrari blow dryer. This dry is very light weight and drys my hair incredibly fast. Normally I could never dry my hair in one sitting because I would have to use the hottest setting and it would still take about 30min to dry it....my hair would be extremely dry and damaged by the time I was done. Now I use the lowest heat setting and I can dry my hair under 10min! My hair is left feeling soft and luxurious. Normally I would never spend this much on a blow dryer but I feel like this is going to last me a very long time so it is well worth that money.

7 Things Marriage Has Taught Me

1) Your a team but teamwork takes practice
In a marriage you have to work together, together you are stronger and will accomplish more. But like any team sometimes you have to practice working together. As much as I would love to say that working together comes naturally once your married - unfortunately it doesn't.

2) Communication is key
I don't know about your house....but my husband & I like to stay very busy and active. This means that I might not see my husband all day everyday so we have to communicate and let the other person know what's going on, where we are, who's responsible for making dinner that night, who's going to make sure they stop by the bank and pay the bills on time, who's going to be at home waiting for service call, ect. The only way a busy household can function effectively is if you communicate with each other.

3) Date night is still important
This is something that I like is so important. If your house is like ours and you are busy, busy, busy, it's good to take a night off together and go on a date night. It doesn't have to cost you a lot of money. Just staying in and having one person cook a romantic meal followed by a walk is nice. Sometimes you have to put the pause button on life and reconnect with your significant other. Catch up with them and ask how has their week been. Help them resolve any issues they may have stumbled across and praise them for all the hard work they've put in. I feel like some couples miss this step and they are so busy and wrapped up in what they are doing they sometimes forget to connect with their partner which can cause issues down the road.

4) Fight fair
Every couple has fights....if anyone claims they don't fight with their significant other than they are lying. A lot of couples fight differently, I know when I fight with my husband we don't tend to yell or throw things. We fight pretty civil but sometimes we get very heated and passionate about what we are fighting about and very hurtful words will come out of our mouths that we really don't mean. When you get into a heated argument present your side and why you are so passionate about it but also let your partner express their side. No one can win all the time - remember to compromise. If you find yourself at a dead end agree to take a 5min break - take a break and revisit the argument, sometimes you just need a few min to think about it and come up with an alternative solution

5) Show your appreciation
You are in this marriage together. It's nice to be appreciated for your hard work and effort so if you want your appreciation acknowledged then show your appreciation for your partner. Thank them for the little things they do that contribute to your household. Anything from picking up milk, unloading the dishwasher, mowing the lawn, washing your car, vacuuming, ect.

6) Life sometimes doesn't go as planned
I feel like this is the universes cruel joke. I feel like every time I make a plan something happens to derail us. Our vehicle brakes down, someone gets sick, the weather doesn't cooperate, the event we were going to gets cancelled. I guess after having an unpredictable life like ours you learn to let things go and try to laugh about it - I mean what else am I supposed to do? The old version on myself would have breakdown when plans fell through - the new me lets the little things go and moves with the flow. Instead of dwelling on the bad I try to problem solve and figure out what to do instead.

7) Support your spouse for who they are
My husband is who he is, I can't change that and nor would I want to. I feel in love with him for who he is and not who I wanted him to be. Yes he does things that annoy me....I'm sure I do many things that annoy him too...but those little things are part of the package and I love him for who he is. I feel that is it very important to support your spouse for who they are. Any goals or life dreams they have should be encouraged - never screw up your nose at your spouses dream no matter how out there their goals may be.

Product Empties May 2016

L'oreal Elnett Satin Volume Hairspray with Pro-Keratine Extra Strong Hold - Phew, long name for a hairspray. I LOVE L'oreal Elnett hairspray but I really didn't like this formula. It left my hair very crunchy and I prefer the original formal.

Aussie Volume Styling Mousse - This was another miss for me, I tried out this new mousse but it left my hair feeling very crunch. I prefer a more natural feel when I use products.

Clinique Take Off The Day Makeup Remover - I used a few bottles of this and it's an ok makeup remover, just as long as you don't use any waterproof makeup.

Aveeno Baby Gentle Conditioning Shampoo - I was using this shampoo to clean my brushes and it did a very good job. It was gentle on all my brushes and left the bristles feeling very soft afterwards. I haven't repurchased this product as I am trying out a new bar soap to clean them but this is defiantly something I will be repurchasing in the future.

Wella Blondor Soft Blonde - If you follow me on social media you have noticed that about two months ago I went blonde! I did it myself at home using the Wella Blondor. This was really tough to get my hands on because it for professional use only. I did a ton of research before bleaching my hair and I read that this was supposed to be less harmful for your hair than regular powder bleach. I don't know if I would say that as I do have a lot of damage but I really did love the results this gave me.

Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk - This is an intensive hydrating treatment and my face LOVED this stuff. Unfortunately it was really expensive and I used up this product very quickly. If you have the money to splurge on a product I would say definitely give this a try. I've gone back to just my regular Josie Maran Argan oil but I might but this for my skin once in a while as a nice treat.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist - I'm a dry skin girl so anytime I see anything that says "dewy" I'm all over it. I really loved the finish of this mist but I noticed that right around the time of using this my skin started to break up...and when I stopped using this mist my skin cleared up. Unfortunately there is something in this mist that my skin doesn't agree with so I wont be repurchasing this product.

Pureology Fresh Approach Dry Condition - Right around the time I died my hair blonde I stopped washing my hair as often. I needed to find a daily dry shampoo and conditioner to help me extend the life on my hair between washes. This by far is my favorite dry conditioner. It just refreshes my hair and gives me a few extra days between washing. I've already repurchased it and I have a spare for when I run out.

Redken Diamond Oil - Since going blonde I've been trying out tons of new hair masks. Anything to help me to moisture back into my hair. This wasn't my favorite mask, unfortunately i didn't notice a difference when using it so I won't be repurchasing this product.

Palmer's Smoothing Oil - This was sent to me by Palmer's to try out. I have to say body oil is just something I'm starting to get into - used to always use regular lotion but there's something about body oil that leaves your skin softer. I used up this body oil and I really didn't like the smell but I loved the results. I wont be repurchasing this product right away as I am testing out some new body oils but I will be repurchasing this oil in the future.

Have you tired out any of these products? I want to hear your thought on them in the comments below.

What Is Beachbody Coaching? | Being The CEO Of Your Own Business

Beachbody Coaching...

What the heck is it!?!

When I first started out as a Beachbody coach I never imagined that my life would change as much as it has. I truly believe that anyone can be a Beachbody coach but Beachbody coaching isn't for everyone.

As a Beachbody coach I've learned that you have to be committed to your health & fitness so that you can become a role model for everyone around you. Then Beachbody coaches must be committed to those around them and helping them committee to their own health & fitness through exercise, eating nutritiously & making positive changes.

Beachbody wants to pay me to workout!?!?!

OKAY! It was kind of a no brainier since I've been using their programs since 2011 anyway.

I never thought it a million years I would be CEO of my own business...but I am! I am the founder of Blam Bombshell Fitness, a small but growing group of Beachbody coaches committed to our health and helping others with their health.

I've learned very quickly that being CEO of your business with no guarantee of success unless you do things right. Just because you sign up as a Beachbody coach doesn't mean you will be entitled to instant success. I've had to work very hard everyday at growing my business, establishing relationships with customers and being sure that I stayed committed to my own health.

What my secret? It's all about how diligent, resistance and resilient you stay towards your business!

I feel  like working from home makes it very easy to get distracted and fall off track. Only those who stay focused and what to succeed in this business bad enough are successful.

This business is nothing like owning a coffee shop or some kind of retail store. You're not just unlocking a door and letting customers come, selling them a cup of coffee and wishing them well as they walk out the door.

This business is so much more than that!

You are showing up everyday on your social media, set goals and following through, gaining customers trust and helping me through their fitness journey.

How many people can honestly say they love their job? I can! I love being a Beachbody coach and I love being the founder/CEO of Blam Bombshell Fitness.

April 2016 Monthly Favorites

This months favorites are all over the place....but oh well here we go! This is what I've been loving for the month of April.

Summer is right around the corner....I am so excited for spending time outside enjoying the sun! Because I'm so fair I need a little help getting my tan started. I love to use Jergens Natural Glow on my legs just to give them a nice healthy glow. I use this twice a week and it gives a very nice color.

In March I decided to dye my hair blonde....I've been loving the change in color but my hair has definitely dried out from the bleach. This has really saved my hair, this is the Moroccanoil treatment, I use it once a day mainly on my ends. My hair just drinks in the stuff and keeps it hydrated.

My favorite perfume  has been discounted!!! I used to love the SPJ NCY perfume, it was very sweet and everyone would complement me when I wore it. It has taken me a really long time to find something else that I like because I am very picky. After 3 trips to Sephora I finally found the Prada Candy. This is a very yummy smelling perfume and I've gotten a few complements when wearing this.

My skin decided to have some sort of reaction in the month of April....not sure what happen but it got really red itchy. The next two products really saved me. First off is the Sunday Riley Luna Night oil, this really seemed to calm my skin down and get it back under control but once it calmed down it got really dry....which is where the next product came into play.

As soon as I started to notice my skin getting really dried out I grabed my Josie Maran 100% Argan Oil. This is a VERY moisturizing oil and it helped get my skin back to normal. I started using the Luna oil every night, I would put it on and let it sit for 10min. Then ontop of my Luna oil I would add the Argan oil. INSTANT results! The next day my skin was already looking better and after 1 week it was back to normal. These two oils make the perfect dream team for my skin.

Next up is a product I keep starting and stopping - but I'm back to loving it again. This is the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, I don't know what it is about this spray but I love to use it after my foundation and before powder. I don't know what it is about this but it makes my powder go on amazing and my face looks absolutely flawless. I've tried so many other sprays thinking it will do the same thing but it never does.

The reason my brows looked so good in April - Benefit Gimme Brow. This is a great product, the wand is really small and is perfect for giving you amazing and natural looking brows.

This has been in many of my favorites and it's still my favorite concealer, this is the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer. I use it under my eyes and it seriously staying put all day! Best concealer I've ever used.

Along with my concealer I've started using again the BareMinerals Concealer Powder in Well Rested. This is a great powder to set your under eye concealer. It makes your concealer last long and wont crease....plus the Well Rested has a yellow color to it so it will also brighten up your under eye are.

That's it for my monthly favorites, thank you so much for stopping by and make sure to leave in the comments below what your April monthly favorites were this month.
