April 2017 Favorites

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 - I got my very first Ordinary order in the month of April and so far I have loved every single product I've ordered from them. I've been using the Hyaluronic Acid in the morning before I put on my moisturizer and my dry skin definitely has been feeling more hydrated.

Tarte Frxxxtion Stick - This I've also been using in the mornings before I was my face. This is a facial cleanings stick that also exfoliates your face. I love the packaging, you rub the stick on your face instead of using your hands which I love.

Benefit Hello Flawless - I decided to try a new powder this month and I picked this one up by Benefit. It took my three different tries to get my color just right but once I did I fell in love with this powder. It's not too heavy on the skin and has a very natural finish.

Dior Forever Foundation - I decided to pick this up after hearing Jaclyn Hill rave about this foundation in several videos. I have very similar skin to hers - dry - most of her skincare and foundations recommendations work perfectly for me. I finally used up the last of my Becca foundation and instead of repurchasing it I pick this up instead. It is very natural and has great coverage. A big plus for me is this foundation do not move on my face! I don't typically set my foundations with a lot of powder as I am on the dry side so I need a foundation that doesn't need to be set in order to stay in place. Highly recommend giving this a try for dry skin.

The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG - The Ordinary defiantly has some interesting names for their products but don't let that scare you away from trying any. This is the eye product I've been using day and night. It is defiantly the most affordable eye product I have every used but it has a different formula. This is an oil that comes in a dropper. I use one drop for each eye and honestly my under eye area has never looked better. This has decreased my fine lines and brightened up my under eye. Most eye creams I've purchased in the past have ran be about $65, this one cost me $6.70!

The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil - This is a very similar to the Josie Maran Argan Oil. I've tried this out on both my skin and my hair and I love it. It gives me the same restuls as the Josie Maran oil but the price tag is a HUGE difference. 50ml of the Josie Maran will cost $60 compared to 30ml of The Ordinary is $6.80.

The Ordinary defiantly dominated most of my new loves this month....I should also mention that all you have to do is spend over $25 with The Ordinary and your shipping is free! I definitely plan on ordering way more products from this company and doing their own dedicated blog post. If you've tried any products from The Ordinary please feel free to leave your recommendations below. Make sure you are subscribed so you can keep up to date with all my new blog posts.

December Empties 2016

I've been using up a lot of products recently and it's finally time to toss a few.

Amika Un.Done Texture Spray - I just bought a small size of this texture spray to try out and I'm very happy I did because it just wasn't for me. I'm still searching for that perfect texture spray but this didn't work well with my hair, this one really didn't give me enough texture I was looking for.

Shiseido Extra Creamy Cleansing Foam - This is a face wash I've been using for a long time but it's time for a change. This face wash does an amazing job cleansing but it left my face feeling stripped of it's moisture. I'm on the hunt for a new one that gives me a clean feeling but doesn't strip my skin.

Adidas Absorbent-Deo - I'm pretty sure this has been in some past product empties because it is till amazing...there is honestly no better deodorant out there.

Wella Leave in Conditioning Spray - Great product, crappy packaging. I loved this product for when I got out of the shower. I have very long hair that tends to get tangled so a leave in conditioner is a  must for me when I get out of the shower. This is defiantly one of my top favorites but the packaging leaked and it wasted so much product. This has to be stored up right which doesn't work in my bathroom so I wont be repurchasing this again...unless the packaging changes.

Arbonne Makeup Primer - A great makeup primer, this provides a great first layer before foundation and will help your makeup last longer throughout the day. Highly recommend for all skin types.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer - Still my must have concealer, this stays on all day and provides amazing coverage. I've already repurchased a new one.

Benefit Gimme Brow - This is by far my favorite brow gel, it glues your brows into place and locks them in all day. I've already repurchased a new one, my only complaint would be this doesn't last long but I guess most brow gels typically don't last very long.

Josie Maran Whippped Mud Mask (Sweet Basil Mint/Sweet Citrus/ Lavender Citrus) - These are amazing mud masks! Highly recommend! Most mud masks feel my skin a little dry after I take them off and I feel like I have to moisture immediately after...not these ones. My skin feels hydrated and glowy after a treatment. I love these masks and I still have a few more to use up but I will definitely be repurchasing these after I run out.

Dior Pore Minimizer Primer - I didn't like this primer at all and it's not actually empty but the pump broke so I can't get anymore product out. This didn't minimize my pores, it didn't even extend the life on my makeup. The only thing I think this primer did do is make my makeup look cakey.

Ion Cool Blonde Shampoo - I love this purple shampoo, by far I think it's my most favorite I've come across. This really helps to ton my hair between colors and it leaves my hair with an icy blonde look. Love and I'm defiantly repurchasing.

That's it for my product empties! Let me know in the comments below if you have tried out any of these products and what your thoughts are.

Thanks for stopping by!

Product Empties July 2016

One n Only Argan Oil Hydrating Mask - This hair mask is a pass for me, I was looking for something that was going to help hydrate my blonde hair after coloring it....this wasn't it. This mask didn't make my hair feel any different whether I used it or not.

Loreal Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray - This is my favorite hairspray and I have already repurchased another can. This has been my favorite hairspray for a few years now. It's flexible so you can brush out your hair style. It's flexible and easy to work with plus it doesn't leave the crunchy feeling in your hair - personally I hate that feeling.

Sephora Instant Moisturizer - This is about my third jar I've gone through, great moisturizer! I've noticed on Sephora's website they have changed the packaging so I'm interesting in seeing if they have changed the formula as well.

I love...Vanilla & Ice Cream Bubble Bath & Shower Creme - I did a give away back in February that included this bubble bath. Honestly this is my favorite bubble I've found so far. It smells great and leaves your skin feeling soft when you get out of the tub.

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray - I can't even count how many of these I've gone through...I want to say about six. This is the best makeup setting spray that I have tried. It really makes a difference in helping my makeup last all day long. I highly recommend it especially in the summer when you find your makeup melts off on hot days.

Palmer's Moisturizing Body Oil - This was sent to me by Palmer to review a few of their products. Recently I've switched from using body lotion to body oils after my showers. I find that body oils hydrate my skin more and it feels so soft after using them. Boyd lotions tend to make my skin feel sticky instead of soft. This was a great body oil but I have't repurchased it again as I am testing out some other body oils at the moment.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir - As you can see I've got two of these in my empties. I love this face spray! It has a great mist and feels very refreshing on the skin. I like to use this mist before and after applying powder. It helps the powder to melt into your skin and make your makeup look airbrushed. Highly recommend for anyone with dry skin.

Covergirl Lash Blast Volume - This is my favorite drugstore mascara. It gives tons of volume and never leaves your lashes looking clumpy.

Benefit Gimme Brow - This has been a great brow gel, however, I know that Benefit just repackaged all their brow products so I'm interested in seeing if the new package has the same formula. I've just order a new brow gel so I will be testing this out soon.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer - This is my one and only must have concealer. I haven't found a better concealer for under my eyes. This stuff stays in place all day, never creases and covers my dark circles.

Chanel Le Volume De Chanel - I bought this mascara for my wedding last year...it is very expensive and hard to buy where I live. I've been trying to find a dupe for this for a year now and I've found nothing that even comes close. I think I have to break down and just buy another one because this stuff was truly amazing. It gives you so much volume! The formula is very buildable and easy to work with. Even though it was expensive it is well worth the money.

Caudalie Makeup Remover Cleansing Water - This is a pass for me, I really disliked this makeup remover I found I had to use a lot in order for it to work. I went through the product very quickly, it's really not worth your money.

Loreal Pro Keratin Refill - This is another hair mask pass for me. This hair mask actually dried out my hair and left it feeling like straw...definitely a pass for me.

YouTube Made Me Do It | Part 1

Welcome!

This is a 3 part series of "YouTube made me do it". Over the past several years my makeup collection has GROWN so much. Moving out of my house at 21 and knowing nothing about makeup, I began getting curious about the makeup world and started "googling" to find out what's out there. I found a whole new world of YouTube videos explaining, reviewing and sharing makeup. 6 years later my makeup collection is INSANE!

As I've gained knowledge about the beauty world I've defiantly been experimenting and trying out tons of new products. I feel like YouTube has been a huge influence on my product purchasing....what can I say? I'm a weak person when I read a bunch of good reviews over and over I feel like I HAVE to run out and purchase the product as well.

Here are just a few that I've tried so far...

Benefit Hoola Bronzer - this is a great bronzer and every beauty blogger talks about this product. It's great to use when you are bronzing or I've even used it as my contour

Make Up Forever HD Foundation - love this foundation, again a very talked about product. Unfortunately I can't find my perfect color match in this foundation so I always have to mix foundations when I use this but it looks great on camera

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup - I wish I loved this foundation...I really do but it just doesn't work for me. First off this is a very matte foundation and I have dry skin so it looks very cakey on my. Second off this foundation oxidizes and usually turns orange on my skin. I've tried everything to make it work for me but so far I've still had no luck

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Eden) - Out of all the eyeshadow primers Urban Decay makes this is by far my favorite. This primer will cancel out any discoloration on your eyelids before applying eyeshadow

Mac Minlralize Skinfinish (soft & gentle) - This used to be my favorite highlight but I've since moved on. I've  used this probably for 1 year straight and it doesn't look like I've used any at all! I don't think I will ever have to repurchase this product...amazing how long it lasts

Benefit Gimme Brow - Another product that I want to like but it just doesn't seem to work for me. This is color gel to set your eyebrows but I think I still prefer clear brow gel

Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation - This is a great foundation but unfortunately I wasn't able to find my perfect color match so I don't ever wear this foundation

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - This is a great setting powder but my skin it too dry to use this. If you have oily skin I highly recommend this! It's a great setting powder and since it's drugstore it is a great price

Maybelline Rocket Mascara - Great drugstore mascara, I like the waterproof formula better than the regular formula. If you have hard to curl lashes this is AMAZING, it really holds a curl and you can layer another mascara overtop if you want more volume

Loreal Color Richie (Sugar Plum) - Great lipstick but this isn't my color. It's a very creamy formula but I would recommend wearing a liner under if you want it to last for a long time

Make sure to check back next week for part 2 of this series!!! Find out what else I've purchased
