YouTube Made Me Do It | Part 2

Welcome back for part 2!!!

This is a 3 part series, if you haven't seen my part 1 from last week click here http://www.mspamblam.com/2015/07/youtube-made-me-do-it-part-1.html

Here is another peak at my makeup collection. Pretty much all my purchases are influenced by YouTubers, beauty blogger or other makeup reviews I read online.

Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara - This is a great mascara...although they changed their packaging and I feel that the mascara has also changed. I preferred the old formula to this formula much more

Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer - I had to buy this bronzer just because it smelled like chocolate. It really does smell amazing! I go back and forth between using this bronzer, it's matte but doesn't look muddy

Urban Decay Naked Basics & Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Eyeshadow Palette - These are great palettes, especially if you are traveling. I do like the first palette over the 2nd palette. They have great color pay off and they are very compact

Rimmel Eye Kohl (nude) - This is a great eyeliner to highlight the inner corner, it's waterproof so it will also stay on all day

Loreal Magic Lumi Primer - if you want a luminizing primer that is afordable I would check this out! But it is pretty oily so I would only try this if you have dry skin. It looks great under makeup but it defiantly isn't a primer that is long wearing

Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara - This is about my 3rd tube of this mascara, it is a great mascara but I have been venturing out and trying out a few differnt mascaras latley

Makeup Forever Mat Velvet + - This is a great foundation....but only if you are oily. I just can't make this foundation work for my dry skin so it just sits in my closet

Maybelline Great Lash - by far this is my favorite drugstore clear eyebrow gel, I think I've tried every clear gel at the drugstore and none of them even compare to this prodcut

Nars blush (douceur) - This is a great blush, its not too pink but it's not too nude. I wore this blush on my wedding day and I mixed it with a shimmery hourglass blush, it was amazing!

Make sure to check back next week for the final part of this series!!!

YouTube Made Me Do It | Part 1

Welcome!

This is a 3 part series of "YouTube made me do it". Over the past several years my makeup collection has GROWN so much. Moving out of my house at 21 and knowing nothing about makeup, I began getting curious about the makeup world and started "googling" to find out what's out there. I found a whole new world of YouTube videos explaining, reviewing and sharing makeup. 6 years later my makeup collection is INSANE!

As I've gained knowledge about the beauty world I've defiantly been experimenting and trying out tons of new products. I feel like YouTube has been a huge influence on my product purchasing....what can I say? I'm a weak person when I read a bunch of good reviews over and over I feel like I HAVE to run out and purchase the product as well.

Here are just a few that I've tried so far...

Benefit Hoola Bronzer - this is a great bronzer and every beauty blogger talks about this product. It's great to use when you are bronzing or I've even used it as my contour

Make Up Forever HD Foundation - love this foundation, again a very talked about product. Unfortunately I can't find my perfect color match in this foundation so I always have to mix foundations when I use this but it looks great on camera

Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Makeup - I wish I loved this foundation...I really do but it just doesn't work for me. First off this is a very matte foundation and I have dry skin so it looks very cakey on my. Second off this foundation oxidizes and usually turns orange on my skin. I've tried everything to make it work for me but so far I've still had no luck

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (Eden) - Out of all the eyeshadow primers Urban Decay makes this is by far my favorite. This primer will cancel out any discoloration on your eyelids before applying eyeshadow

Mac Minlralize Skinfinish (soft & gentle) - This used to be my favorite highlight but I've since moved on. I've  used this probably for 1 year straight and it doesn't look like I've used any at all! I don't think I will ever have to repurchase this product...amazing how long it lasts

Benefit Gimme Brow - Another product that I want to like but it just doesn't seem to work for me. This is color gel to set your eyebrows but I think I still prefer clear brow gel

Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation - This is a great foundation but unfortunately I wasn't able to find my perfect color match so I don't ever wear this foundation

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder - This is a great setting powder but my skin it too dry to use this. If you have oily skin I highly recommend this! It's a great setting powder and since it's drugstore it is a great price

Maybelline Rocket Mascara - Great drugstore mascara, I like the waterproof formula better than the regular formula. If you have hard to curl lashes this is AMAZING, it really holds a curl and you can layer another mascara overtop if you want more volume

Loreal Color Richie (Sugar Plum) - Great lipstick but this isn't my color. It's a very creamy formula but I would recommend wearing a liner under if you want it to last for a long time

Make sure to check back next week for part 2 of this series!!! Find out what else I've purchased

Rimmel Wonder Lash Mascara

Recently I picked up the Rimmel Wonder Lash mascara, I was very interested in trying this out because I saw that it had argan oil.
The tube is a little interesting. It's twisted so you have to make sure you click the tube closed. The formulation isn't super wet or dry.
I like the brush but it's very flexible which I don't really like. I like stiff wands so that I get really get into the lash.
The results gives you a very natural look. You'll notice on the left I have one coat of the Rimmel mascara on, the right has nothing.
I don't have too many complaints about this mascara. It's advertised to be clump free and I can say that it defiantly is. I've been using it for less than a week so I can't really say that I notice the argan oil but I'm hoping that over time I'll notice that the mascara conditions the lashes.

The mascara definitely lengthens but I don't notice any thickening.

All and all I would say that this is my new favorite mascaras. I don't typically gravitate towards drug store mascaras but I will be keeping this one into the mix.
